So, I wanted to make a logo, you know, something cool with stars and stuff. A constellation logo, yeah, that’s the one. I really didn’t know where to begin, so I just jumped right in.
I started looking around online, seeing if I could find some ideas or maybe even templates. Found this site, I guess it called Turbologo, it looked kinda promising. They said they had a bunch of fonts and graphics, so I thought, “Why not?”

- Tried their interface.
- Nothing special.
Next, I stumbled upon this other place, some Logomaker something. It let me play around with constellation designs for free. I spent some time messing with different shapes, colors, and what not. It was alright, but still not exactly what I was envisioning.
I kept digging and found a whole bunch of resources. Apparently, there are like 33,000+ vectors for constellation designs. That’s a lot! I went through a bunch of them, but they felt kinda generic, you know? Like, everyone’s seen them before.
Then I thought, “Maybe I should get some actual help.” I found a few sites where you can hire designers to make you a logo. Some of them were pretty pricey, but I figured it might be worth it to get something unique.
My Attempts
First try: I described what I wanted, a simple constellation of a cat, and waited. Got a few designs back, but they were all kinda “meh.” Not bad, but not great either.
Second attempt: I decided to be more specific. Told them I wanted the Ursa Major, you know, the Big Dipper, but with a twist. This time, the designs were a bit better, but still not quite there.
After a while, I realized I was going about it all wrong. I was trying to fit my idea into pre-made designs or other people’s interpretations. What I really needed was to start from scratch, just like I did with my first drawings as a kid, remember? Get some paper, some pencils, and start sketching, finally, I made my own constellation logo. It’s not perfect, it’s simple, but it’s mine.
This whole experience taught me a thing or two. First, there are tons of resources out there, but they might not have exactly what you’re looking for. Second, getting professional help can be useful, but it’s not a magic bullet. And third, sometimes, the best way to get what you want is to just do it yourself, yeah, even if you think you can’t draw, just try it.
