Today I wanted to hit up Mala Beach, I heard it’s a real nice spot. So, I grabbed my swimming trunks, some sunscreen, and a towel.
First thing, I checked the weather app on my phone – gotta make sure it’s not gonna rain or something. Sun’s out, perfect beach day. Then, I hopped in my car and started driving.
The drive was pretty chill, about an hour with some good tunes on the radio. When I got close, I started looking for parking. Found a spot a few blocks away, not too bad of a walk.
I walked to the beach and started looking for a good spot to set up. I wanted to be close to the water but not too close, you know? Found a nice patch of sand, laid out my towel, and applied a good layer of sunscreen.
After setting up, I decided to take a dip in the water. The water was a bit cold at first, but it felt great after getting used to it. I swam around for a while, just enjoying the waves and the sun.
Once I was done swimming, I headed back to my towel and chilled out for a bit. I read a book I brought along, and it was super relaxing to just lie there and listen to the ocean.

After a while, I started to get a bit hungry. I walked over to a nearby snack shack and got myself a hot dog and some chips. Nothing beats beach food, right?
I spent the rest of the afternoon alternating between swimming, sunbathing, and just people-watching. It’s always interesting to see all the different folks enjoying the beach.
