Okay, so, today I wanted to dive into something a little different, a bit more, you know, spiritual. I’ve always been curious about the whole “spirit animal” thing, and as a Sagittarius, I figured, why not try to find out what mine is supposed to be? It’s not like there’s a definitive answer, but it sounded like a fun little project.
I started by Googling around, just to see what the internet had to say. I mean, who doesn’t start there these days? There were tons of articles and quizzes about spirit animals, but they all seemed a bit… fluffy. You know, like those personality tests that tell you you’re a “creative unicorn” or something. I was looking for something a bit more grounded, even though we’re talking about spirit animals here.
Then, I remembered this old book I had on Native American traditions. I dug it out and flipped through the pages. It talked about how different tribes had different animal totems, and how these animals were believed to represent certain qualities or energies. That got me thinking about the qualities that are typically associated with Sagittarius. We’re supposed to be adventurous, independent, and optimistic, right?
So, I made a list of animals that seemed to embody those traits. I came up with things like:
- Horses – because they’re known for their freedom and love of travel.
- Owls – because of their wisdom and connection to the unseen.
- Dolphins – because they’re playful and intelligent.
Honestly, I could see myself connecting with any of those. But then I decided to go a step further. I closed my eyes, took a few deep breaths, and just tried to clear my mind. I know, it sounds a bit woo-woo, but I figured it couldn’t hurt. I tried to picture myself in a peaceful natural setting, and just see what animals came to mind.
And guess what? A big, beautiful cat kept popping into my head. Not like a house cat, but more like a wildcat, maybe a cheetah or a panther. It felt powerful, independent, and definitely adventurous. It was kind of surprising, but it also felt… right. So yeah, maybe my spirit animal is some kind of wildcat?
What I figured out
It’s a fun thing to think about. I am pretty sure that it’s not based on real things, but it does make me think more about myself. Maybe I should try to be more like a wildcat in my daily life. You know, a little more spontaneous, a little more fearless. Who knows, maybe it’ll lead to some new adventures.
