Okay, so I’ve been wanting to make a personalized calendar for a while, something a bit more “me” than the generic ones you buy at the store. Since I’m a Pisces, I thought, why not make a Pisces-themed calendar? So, I started my “pisces calendar” project.
Brainstorming and Gathering Stuff
First, I needed some ideas. I spent a good hour just brainstorming what I wanted this calendar to look like. Did I want photos? Drawings? Quotes? I jotted down a bunch of ideas on a notepad, like:
- Use watery colors, blues and greens.
- Maybe include images of fish, or the Pisces constellation.
- Find some inspirational quotes about intuition, creativity, that kind of thing.
Then, I gotta gather my materials. I use a old notebook, color pens, color papers to write down.
The Making Process
I found some calendar templates that I liked. I printed those out because it’s easier for me to work with a physical copy.

Next, I started decorating! I used some watercolor pencils to add washes of blue and green to the borders of each month. I even tried to draw a little fish on each page… some turned out better than others, let’s just say that. I found some nice, simple drawings of the Pisces constellation online, resized them, and printed those out too. I glued those onto the calendar pages, trying to keep it neat (which is a challenge for me!).
For the quotes, I spent a while browsing the internet. I didn’t want anything too cheesy, just something short and sweet that fit the Pisces vibe. I wrote those out in my nicest handwriting (which isn’t saying much) using a blue pen. I stuck those on different days of the month, kind of randomly.
Putting It All Together
Once I had all the months decorated, it was time to put the whole thing together. I used a hole punch to made holes, Then, I put the calendar on my desk.
It’s not perfect, it’s definitely handmade-looking, But it’s mine, and it has that personal touch I was going for. I’m actually pretty happy with how it turned out!
