Okay, so I’ve been seeing these super cute astrology necklaces everywhere, and I’m a Gemini, so obviously, I needed one. I decided to make my own Gemini astrology necklace, because, why not? It seemed like a fun little project.
Finding the Stuff
First, I gathered all my materials. I already had some jewelry-making stuff lying around from that time I tried to make earrings (it didn’t go well). Here’s what I used:
- Some thin gold chain.
- A little Gemini charm. I found this cute one.
- Jump rings – these are tiny little circles that open and close.
- Jewelry pliers – you need these to open and close the jump rings. I borrowed mine from my sister.
- A clasp – you know, the thing that keeps the necklace from falling off.
Putting It All Together
Honestly, this was way easier than I thought it would be. I started by figuring out how long I wanted the necklace to be. I just held the chain up to my neck and eyeballed it. Then I cut the chain to that length.
Next, I opened one of the jump rings with the pliers. It took a few tries, I’m not gonna lie. I slipped the Gemini charm onto the open jump ring, and then I slipped the jump ring onto the center of the chain. Then I carefully closed the jump ring with the pliers. I pinched it shut really tight so it wouldn’t fall off.

After that, I attached the clasp. I opened another jump ring, put it through one end of the chain, and then hooked on one part of the clasp. Then I closed the jump ring. I repeated this on the other side of the chain with the other part of the clasp. I checked all my connections were secure.
The Finished Product!
And that was it! Seriously, it took me like, maybe 20 minutes? And now I have this adorable, custom-made Gemini necklace. It’s not perfect, the jump rings are a little wonky, but I made it myself, and that’s pretty cool. I wore it out yesterday and got so many compliments! I definitely feel like a crafty queen right now. Gonna try making one for my bestie next – she’s a Libra!
