Well, let me tell ya ’bout this here truck, the VW Constellation. I ain’t no fancy expert or nothin’, but I know a thing or two about what makes a good truck, ya know? This one, they say it’s a big deal, made down in Brazil since, what, 2005? That’s a long time, so it must be doin’ somethin’ right.
What’s it used for? Heavin’ stuff, mostly. Big loads, they call it. From 13 tonnes all the way up to 57! That’s a whole lotta potatoes, I tell ya. They use ’em down in South America, but I reckon you could use it anywhere you got heavy things to move around.
- They got different kinds, ya see. Some with a place to sleep, some without.
- And engines? Oh, they got a whole bunch. Little ones, big ones. They got this one, a 13.180 and 15.180, that’s got 180 horses. Sounds like a lot, right? Well, it is. Enough to pull most anything, I’d wager.
Then there’s this other engine, the NGD 370 turbodiesel. Fancy name, I know. But it just means it’s strong, real strong. Good for haulin’ heavy stuff up hills and such. And more, they have this VW Constellation 17.250, it got a Cummins Interact 6.0 engine, sounds strong, ain’t it? Another one is VW Constellation 31.320, this one uses a Cummins ISC Turbo engine, must be real powerful.
The fella down the road, he’s got a truck. Not one of these fancy VWs, mind you, but he’s always complainin’ about it. Says it’s hard to drive, guzzles gas like a thirsty hog, and breaks down more often than my old rooster crows. But these Constellations, they say they’re different. Tough and agile, that’s what the ads say. And economical too, which means they don’t drink up all your money on gas.
And they say the driver likes ’em. Easy to handle, they say. Well, I ain’t driven one myself, but I can tell you, a happy driver is a good driver. And a good driver gets the job done, right? So that’s a good thing I reckon.
Now, they got this here 13.180 and 15.180, they call ’em rigid trucks. That just means they’re tough, ya know? Built to last. They got 132 kilowatts of power, whatever that means. Sounds like a lot. And 600 NMs of torque, that’s the twistin’ power, I think. Enough to pull a stump out of the ground, I betcha.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a truck, a real truck, to do some real work, this here VW Constellation might just be the ticket. It ain’t fancy, but it’s strong. It ain’t cheap, but it’ll last. And that’s what matters, right? Somethin’ you can rely on, day in and day out.
I remember my old pappy used to say, “You get what you pay for.” And that’s true for trucks too. You buy a cheap one, you get a cheap one. You buy a good one, like this VW, well, you get a good one. Simple as that. So, do your research, talk to folks who know trucks, and then decide for yourself. But from what I hear, this here VW Constellation is a darn good truck.
I heard tell they keep changin’ things, makin’ ’em better all the time. New engines, new features, that sort of thing. So, even if you got an older one, there’s probably a newer one that’s even better. But that’s the way things go, ain’t it? Always tryin’ to improve, always tryin’ to make things better. And that’s a good thing, I reckon. Keeps things movin’ forward, ya know?
Anyways, that’s all I know about this here VW Constellation. Like I said, I ain’t no expert, but I know a good truck when I hear about one. And this one, well, it sounds like a keeper.
