Well, hello there! Let me tell ya ’bout this here… whatchamacallit… libra pendant. My grandbaby, she’s always on that there internet, showed me some pictures. Said folks are buyin’ these things like hotcakes.
Now, I ain’t no fancy pants city gal, but I know what looks nice. And some of them pendants, they sure are pretty. They got all sorts, ya know? Shiny ones, dull ones, big ones, little bitty ones you can barely see.
- Some are made outta that silver stuff. Reminds me of the silverware we used to use on Sundays. That silver, they say, it’s good for calmin’ ya down. Like, if you’re all worked up, wearin’ it makes you feel better. Good for them Taurus folks too, I hear, and them Cancers… the moon people, ya know? And them Aquarius folks, always with their heads in the clouds.
- Then there’s the gold ones. Real gold, they say. Shiny and yellow, like the sun. Now, that’s somethin’ special. They stamp it with “14K” they do, to show it’s real. A fella named Sonia, he makes ’em, I think. Or sells ’em, somethin’ like that.
They say this libra thing is about scales. You know, like what they use at the market to weigh yer vegetables. And some old Roman fella, he wrote about it. Said judges, them fellas in the black robes, they’re born under this libra sign. And Rome, that big city over in Europe, they say it was started when the moon was in Libra. Fancy that!
There’s another stone they talk about, opal they call it. Milky white, it is, and shiny. They say it helps ya see the truth and keeps ya hopeful. Sounds like good stuff to me, especially when the crops ain’t doin’ so well.
Now, where do ya get these pendants? Well, my grandbaby says you can find ’em online. Lots of folks makin’ ’em, sellin’ ’em. Some are just plain, others got all sorts of swirls and whatnots. Some are “vintage,” she says, from the 70s. Old stuff, like me! Heh. They even got ones you can get yer name put on, or yer birthday. October birthdays, she says.
And they ain’t just necklaces neither. You got all sorts of pendants. Some hangin’ on chains around yer neck, others, well, I don’t rightly know where they go. My grandbaby said some people put them on their keychains. Seems silly to me but folks these days have their own way of doing things.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a gift, or just somethin’ pretty for yerself, this libra pendant might be just the ticket. Just gotta figure out which one ya like, and how much money ya wanna spend. Don’t go breakin’ the bank now, ya hear? There’s plenty of pretty things in this world that don’t cost an arm and a leg.
They come in all sorts of prices, ya know? Some are cheap as chips, others… well, let’s just say they cost more than my old mule Bessie ever did! And they come from all over. Some are handmade, they say. Folks sittin’ at their benches, hammerin’ and sawin’ away. That’s somethin’ special, I reckon. Put a little bit of heart into it, ya know?
So, there ya have it. My two cents on this libra pendant thing. Ain’t no expert, but I know what I like. And if you like it too, well, go on and get yerself one. Life’s too short to be worryin’ about what other folks think, I always say.
Anyways, I gotta go now. Got chores to do. But you remember what I told ya, ya hear? And don’t be spending too much on that shiny stuff, ya hear?
