Alright, let’s talk about this… this thing, the virpil constellation alpha, whatever they call it. Folks keep askin’ me about it, so I figured I’d take a look. Now, I ain’t no fancy pilot or nothin’, but I know a thing or two about tools and how they should feel in your hand. So, here’s the deal, plain and simple.
First off, where can you get it? Seems like everyone’s always shoutin’ about “Amazon” this and “Amazon” that. Well, I guess you can find this Virpil thingy there too. Folks say it’s easy to order from them, stuff comes right to your door, like magic. Don’t know much about that “online shoppin’” myself, but if it saves you a trip to town, maybe it ain’t so bad.
What’s this thing for anyway?
Now, from what I gather, this Virpil constellation alpha is for playin’ them flyin’ games on the computer. You know, the ones where you’re zoomin’ around in spaceships or airplanes. My grandson, he loves that stuff. Sits there for hours, starin’ at the screen, makin’ all sorts of noises. He says this here joystick, that’s what he calls it, makes the game feel real, like you’re actually flyin’ the thing.
Looks Fancy, But Is It Any Good?
This joystick, it sure looks fancy, all them buttons and switches. Reminds me a bit of them tractors with all the levers and gizmos. My husband, bless his soul, he could fix anything with a few tools and some elbow grease. This joystick, though, I don’t know if I could fix it if it broke. Looks complicated.
- It’s got buttons all over, like a Christmas tree. My grandson says each button does somethin’ different in the game. One shoots lasers, another one makes the spaceship go faster, another one… well, I don’t know, they got buttons for everything these days.
- They say it’s comfortable to hold. Now, that’s important. If you’re gonna be holdin’ somethin’ for hours, it better feel good in your hand. Like a good ol’ hammer, you know? You can work with it all day long and your hand don’t get tired.
- Apparently, you can get it for left-handed folks or right-handed folks. That’s nice, I guess. Not everyone’s the same, are they? Reminds me of that time my neighbor tried to use my left-handed scissors. Made a right mess of it, he did.
- This thing works with all them fancy computer games, like that “DCS” one, and “Star Citizen” and somethin’ called “Microsoft Flight Simulator”. My grandson says those are the best ones. He keeps tellin’ me I should try it, but I tell him, “I got enough to do here on the ground, thank you very much.”
Is it worth the money?
Now, that’s the million-dollar question, ain’t it? I heard these things ain’t cheap. But then again, good tools never are. My husband always said, “You buy cheap, you buy twice.” So, if you’re gonna be spendin’ hours playin’ them flyin’ games, I guess you might as well have somethin’ that feels good and works good.
Where do you get it if not from the “Amazon”?
Seems like there’s this “VIRPIL USA webstore” too, somebody told me they got a place in Florida, sendin’ out these joysticks. So, if you don’t like that “Amazon” place, maybe you can get it from them. Just be sure to know what you’re gettin’ into, that’s what I always say.
Last Words
So, there you have it. My take on this here Virpil constellation alpha thingy. Ain’t no expert opinion, just a plain talkin’ from someone who knows a thing or two about how things should work. If you’re into them flyin’ games, maybe it’s worth a look. Just don’t go spendin’ all your money on it, alright? There are more important things in life, like family and a good cup of coffee.
And remember, whether you buy it from Amazon or that Florida place, or anywhere else, just make sure you’re gettin’ what you want. Don’t let them fancy talkin’ folks fool ya. Use your common sense, that’s the best tool you got.
