Well, hello there, everyone! Let’s talk about them horoscopes, you know, the things they write in the newspaper about stars and stuff. I ain’t no fancy scholar or nothin’, but I reckon I can tell you what I see, just like them city folks do in the Chicago Tribune.
Now, they say today, meaning whenever you readin’ this, is all about pullin’ and tuggin’. Like a bunch of kids playin’ rope, only it’s the moon and Mercury doin’ the pullin’. Moon’s in some fishy place, they call it “Pisces,” and Mercury, that fast-talkin’ planet, is in “Sagittarius,” shootin’ off its mouth, I guess. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss to me!
If it’s your birthday, well, happy birthday! They say give in to love. Love, love, love, that’s all they talk about! Build yourself a good foundation, like a sturdy house, but with talkin’. Yeah, keep talkin’ to your loved ones, that’s what they mean, I reckon. Don’t go buildin’ no house outta words, that don’t make no sense.
- If it ain’t your birthday, don’t you worry none. They got somethin’ to say to everyone.
- They say your path is lit up by love. Sounds pretty, don’t it? Like a firefly on a summer night.
- And if you lookin’ for love, well, this here’s your month! Keep your eyes peeled and your heart open, like a door on a spring day. You never know who might walk in.
They got this lady, Nancy Black, writin’ for the Chicago Tribune. She took over from some other lady, Linda, I think. Nancy, she tells you about your job and what you wanna do in life. I guess that’s important, too, not just love. You gotta put food on the table, right?
Then there’s this other lady, Magi Helena, she’s a pioneer, they say. That means she’s been doin’ this for a long time, I guess. She gives you your daily dose of stars, tells you what’s what.
And don’t forget Georgia Nicols, another one who knows her stars. She gives you advice, like your grandma might, only with more planets and such. She tells you what to expect, good or bad. But don’t take it too serious, I say. It’s just stars, ain’t no reason to get your feathers ruffled.
Love, love, love, that’s the big word this year, seems like. If it’s your birthday, they say love will blossom. And talkin’ will help you get what you want. So talk to your boss, talk to your neighbor, talk to the chickens in the yard, I don’t care! Just keep them words flowin’.
This month, they say be open to anything. That’s kinda scary, ain’t it? But I guess it means be ready for anything, good or bad. And if you lookin’ for love, well, like I said, this is your time. So go on out there and find it! Don’t just sit around waitin’ for it to knock on your door, that ain’t how it works, you gotta go get it!
So, that’s what them horoscopes say. Take it with a grain of salt, I always say. Life’s full of surprises, more than them stars can tell ya. But it’s fun to read, ain’t it? Like readin’ a story ’bout what might happen. Just remember, you the one makin’ your own story, not some stars way up yonder.
I ain’t got no fancy degree or nothin’, but I can tell ya, life’s what you make it. Stars might whisper, but you the one gotta shout. So go on out there and live your life, horoscopes or no horoscopes!
And don’t forget, talkin’ is important. Talk to your people, tell ’em how you feel. That’s the best way to build somethin’ strong, somethin’ that lasts. Like a good ol’ quilt, all stitched together with love and care.
