Alright, let’s gab a bit about this “aquarius cast”, whatever that is. Sounds fancy, like somethin’ them city folks would watch on their picture boxes.
So, I hear tell this Aquarius thing is a TV show, a “period crime drama” they call it. Made back in 2015 and 2016, not too long ago. Folks say it’s about a cop, Sam Hodiak, played by some fella named David Duchovny. Never heard of him, but I reckon he’s a big deal in them picture shows.
Now, this Sam fella, he’s a cop in the 60s, and he’s dealin’ with all sorts of things. There’s this fella named Charles Manson, played by Gethin Anthony. Folks say he’s a real bad egg, this Manson character, got a whole bunch of followers doin’ Lord-knows-what. Sounds like trouble to me.
- David Duchovny plays Sam Hodiak, the cop.
- Gethin Anthony plays Charles Manson, the bad guy.
- Grey Damon plays Brian Shafe, another fella in the show.
- Emma Dumont plays Emma Karn, seems like a big part too.
- Then there’s Claire Holt, playin’ Charmain Tully. Don’t know much about her.
This show, it ain’t just about cops and robbers, though. They say it’s got all sorts of stuff about the 60s, the way folks lived back then. Politics and whatnot. Sounds like a whole mess of things goin’ on if you ask me.
The folks who made this show, they call ’em the “cast and crew”. There’s John McNamara, he created the whole thing. And then there’s Jonas Pate and Jon Amiel, they directed some of it. Directin’, that’s like tellin’ the actors what to do and where to stand, I reckon.
Some folks say this Aquarius show is real good, others ain’t so sure. They say it’s got “innovative storytelling,” whatever that means. And it’s “highly serialized,” which I guess means you gotta watch every episode to understand what’s goin’ on. Too much trouble for me, I say. I like my stories simple and straightforward.
They also say it’s got “fictional storylines” and “historical events.” So, some of it’s made up, and some of it’s real. I guess that’s how they do things in them picture shows, mixin’ truth and lies. Can’t always trust what you see on that there TV.
Now, this show, it aired on somethin’ called “Syndication network.” Don’t know what that is, sounds like one of them fancy cable channels the city folks got. We just got the regular channels out here, and that’s good enough for me.
Anyways, this Aquarius show, it’s got a whole bunch of characters, all played by different actors. They talk about “main characters” and “supporting characters.” I guess the main ones are the ones you see all the time, and the supportin’ ones just pop in now and then.
They got this thing called “TMDB” where they keep track of all the actors and who they played. Sounds like a whole lot of work to me. I can barely remember who’s who in my own family, let alone a whole bunch of actors in a picture show.
So, if you’re lookin’ to watch a show about cops and criminals in the 60s, this Aquarius thing might be for you. Just don’t ask me too much about it, ’cause I ain’t got the foggiest idea about most of it. I’m just tellin’ you what I heard, same as always.
And from what I gather, it seems like this show tries real hard to show you what it was like back then, the good and the bad. They talk about “social issues” and “cultural references.” Sounds like a whole history lesson wrapped up in a crime show.
But remember, it’s just a show, not real life. Don’t go gettin’ any ideas about joinin’ up with no cults or nothin’. Just sit back, watch the pretty people on the screen, and try to enjoy yourself. That’s what them picture shows are for, ain’t it?
Anyways, that’s all I know about this “aquarius cast” business. If you wanna know more, you’ll have to ask someone who knows more about these city things than I do. I’m just a simple woman, tryin’ to make sense of it all. And most of the time, I reckon it don’t make no sense at all.
