Okay, so “Art Sagittarius” – sounds pretty fancy, right? I stumbled upon this while going down one of my usual late-night internet rabbit holes. I’m no artist, but I do like playing around with creative stuff, so I thought, “Why not give it a shot?”
First, I needed to figure out what I actually wanted to create. I just knew that have to related with “Art Sagittarius”.I mean, Sagittarius… that’s the archer, the centaur, right? I’m not really into astrology, but the imagery is cool. So I started with a basic idea: a centaur with a bow and arrow, maybe with some starry, cosmic background.
The Messy Part (aka My “Process”)
I grabbed my old, dusty sketchbook and a pencil. No fancy digital art software for me, I’m keeping it old school. I started sketching, and let me tell you, it was ROUGH. My centaur looked more like a lopsided horse with a weird stick figure on top. Seriously, it was bad.
But I kept at it. I erased, redrew, erased some more. Slowly, it started to resemble something… vaguely centaur-like. The bow and arrow were another challenge. Getting the angles and perspective right? Forget about it! It took a bunch of tries to get it even remotely decent.

- First try: The horse body? A blob.
- Second try: The human torso? Disproportionately tiny.
- Third try: The bow? Bent at a physically impossible angle.
- Fourth try:Finally, I can see what I want to do!
Then came the background. I wanted stars, but I didn’t want it to look like a kindergartener’s art project. So I tried a few different techniques. I tried simple dots, then little crosses, then tiny circles. I even tried smudging the pencil lead to create a sort of “nebula” effect. It was… interesting.
I added some simple shading to make it appear more solid, to give the centaur and its bow a sense of mass.I try to find the light source to create a 3D effect!
The (Slightly Less Messy) Result
After a few hours of scribbling and smudging, I had something I didn’t totally hate. It wasn’t perfect, far from it, but it was mine. My very own, slightly wonky, “Art Sagittarius” creation.
It’s definitely not going to win any awards, but it was a fun experiment. And hey, it got me away from the screen for a few hours, which is always a win in my book. Maybe I’ll try another one sometime, maybe with a different zodiac sign. Who knows? The possibilities are endless… as long as you have an eraser handy.
