Alright, guys, gather around, let me tell you about my little adventure today in the world of Path of Exile. I’ve been grinding away, as usual, trying to get my hands on some sweet loot. Today’s mission? Diving deep into the Ashen Wood, specifically the T16 maps, to hunt down some of those elusive divination cards.
So, I geared up my character, made sure I had enough coffee to last me through the night, and jumped right in. Ashen Wood, if you haven’t been there, it’s one big map, lots of twists and turns, and walls that only sometimes let you through. It’s a bit of a maze, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
First thing I did was scout around the web a little bit to see where the best places to hunt for these cards are. Turns out, these Forest tilesets, including Ashen Wood and some other dark places, are the spots. I also found out that farming these divination cards isn’t what it used to be, it’s changed a lot, which adds to the challenge.
I started clearing the map, mob after mob. It was a grind, no doubt. The idea is that these divination cards can drop from any monster or loot container in the area. They’re stackable, which is nice, so you can collect a bunch before turning them in for a reward.
As I was hacking and slashing my way through, I noticed something cool. When you hover over a map on the Atlas, it now shows you which divination cards can drop there. Super useful! I found out that cards like “The Summoner,” “The Celestial Justicar,” and a few others could pop up in Ashen Wood.
- First run: Not much luck. A few decent drops, but no cards.
- Second run: Started getting a bit more strategic, hitting up areas that seemed more densely populated with monsters. Still no cards, but I was getting closer. I could feel it.
- Third run: Bingo! I managed to snag a “Rebirth” card. Not the most valuable, but hey, a card’s a card. It felt good to finally see one drop.
- Runs four through ten: Kept at it, refining my path, trying to maximize efficiency. Picked up a few more cards here and there, including “The Craving,” which was a nice surprise.
By the end of my session, I had a decent little collection going. It wasn’t the jackpot, but I was happy with the haul. Each card felt like a small victory, a testament to the time and effort put in.
Lessons Learned
Divination card farming in Ashen Wood is definitely a test of patience. The map’s layout can be a bit of a pain, but it’s also part of its charm. Knowing which cards can drop where is a game-changer, thanks to that Atlas update. And most importantly, it’s a reminder that sometimes, the grind is worth it. Even the smallest reward feels huge when you’ve worked hard for it.
So, that’s my story from the trenches of Ashen Wood. It’s a grind, it’s a challenge, but it’s also a lot of fun. If you’re out there hunting for divination cards, keep at it. Your persistence will pay off. Happy hunting, exiles!
