Well now, let me tell ya ’bout this here gun, the Taurus 22LR revolver, the one with 9 shots. I ain’t no expert, mind you, but I know a thing or two ’bout what works and what don’t.
First off, they say this thing costs around $400, maybe a bit more, maybe a bit less. That ain’t chicken feed, but it ain’t gonna break the bank neither, ‘specially if you get the plain one, not the fancy Talo edition. That fancy one, they say it’ll set ya back closer to $500. Me? I’d stick with the regular one, does the same job, I reckon.
Now, this here gun, it ain’t big and heavy like some of them others. They call it “lightweight,” which is just a fancy way of sayin’ it won’t weigh ya down none. That’s good, ‘specially if you’re carryin’ it around all day. And it don’t kick much neither, they say it’s got “low recoil.” Means your arm ain’t gonna be sore after shootin’ it a few times. That’s important, let me tell ya.
This Taurus, it’s reliable too. That means it’ll go bang every time you pull the trigger. Nothin’ worse than a gun that ain’t gonna shoot when you need it to. They got this new one, the Taurus 942, they say it holds 8 shots and comes in 22LR and 22WMR. Folks say it’s good for carryin’ around hidden like, or just for shootin’ at cans or somethin’. But we’re talkin’ ’bout the 9-shot one here, the Rough Rider they call it.
This Rough Rider, it’s a single-action revolver. That means you gotta pull the hammer back each time before you shoot. Some folks like that, some don’t. Me, I don’t much care neither way, long as it shoots straight. And it holds 9 shots, like I said, instead of the usual 6. That’s more bang for your buck, I reckon.
- It’s a 22LR, so it ain’t gonna make a big hole, but it’ll do the job.
- They make ’em in 22WMR too, whatever that is.
- It’s got this cylinder thing that holds all the bullets, and it holds 9 of ’em.
I seen one of these, a Model 94 Ultra-Lite it was called, made of stainless steel. Looked real purdy, all shiny and such. But looks ain’t everything, it’s gotta work good too. And this here 9 shot Taurus, folks seem to like it. They say it’s become a favorite. That’s gotta mean somethin’.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ this is the best gun ever made, but it seems like a good ‘un. It’s light, it don’t kick much, and it holds a good few bullets. If you’re lookin’ for a 22 revolver, this one might just be the ticket. Just remember to be careful with it, guns ain’t toys. And always, always point it in a safe direction. That’s just common sense, but it’s worth repeatin’.
So there ya have it, my two cents on this Taurus 22LR revolver with 9 shots. Take it or leave it, but that’s what I know. It ain’t much, but it’s honest.
