Okay, so I saw these blessed beaded bracelets all over the place and thought, “Why not make one myself?” Plus, I had a bunch of beads lying around from old projects. So, I decided to give it a shot.
First things first, I gathered all my materials. I had this big box of beads, some elastic string, and a few charms I thought would look cool. I picked out the beads I wanted to use – mostly blue and white ones because they’re my favorite colors. Then I laid them out in a pattern on my table to see how they would look together.
Getting Started
I cut a piece of elastic string, about 10 inches long, just to be safe. Better to have too much than too little, right? Then I tied a knot at one end, making sure it was super tight so no beads would escape.
- Stringing the Beads
This was the fun part. I just started stringing the beads onto the elastic. I followed the pattern I had laid out, but sometimes I changed it up a bit. You know, just to make it more unique. It was actually kind of relaxing, just focusing on the beads and the colors.
Adding the Charm
Once I had all the beads on, I added a small cross charm. I thought it would give it that “blessed” vibe. I just slipped it onto the string before tying the final knot. It was a little tricky, but I managed.
Finishing Up
Finally, I tied the two ends of the string together with a double knot. I pulled it really tight to make sure it was secure. Then I trimmed off the extra string, and that was it! My very own blessed beaded bracelet. I actually made more bracelets for my family members using different beads and charms, they all liked it!
Honestly, it was way easier than I thought it would be. And it’s kind of cool to wear something you made yourself. If you’ve got some beads lying around, you should totally try it! It is also a good way to spend your time with your kids.
