I had some free time recently and thought, why not make a blue beaded bracelet? I’ve always liked those, and it seemed like a fun little project.
First, I went to a local craft store to get some beads. I saw a ton of blue beads, in all sorts of shades and sizes. I grabbed a few different kinds that I thought looked good together. I also picked up some elastic cord and a small clasp.
When I got home, I laid out all my beads on a table. I started playing around with different arrangements, trying to figure out a pattern I liked. It was actually kind of tricky to get it just right! After some trial and error, I finally settled on a simple alternating pattern of two different shades of blue beads.
Next, I cut a length of elastic cord, making sure it was long enough to fit comfortably around my wrist with some extra to tie off. I threaded the beads onto the cord one by one, following the pattern I had decided on. This part was pretty relaxing, just focusing on the repetitive motion.
Once all the beads were on, I carefully tied the ends of the cord together with a double knot. I trimmed off the excess cord and then attached the clasp to the ends. And that was it!
- Made a blue beaded bracelet from scratch.
- Found a bunch of different blue beads at the craft store.
- Experimented with different patterns until I found one I liked.
- Used elastic cord and a clasp to finish the bracelet.
It turned out pretty nice, if I do say so myself. It’s a simple but cute little bracelet, and it was fun to make. I might even make some more in different colors!
