Okay, so, today I tried messing around with this “divination crossword clue” thing. I’ve always been kind of into puzzles, and lately, I’ve been getting back into the whole divination vibe, you know, tarot cards, runes, all that stuff. So I thought, why not combine the two?
First off, I had to figure out what kind of clues I even wanted. I started by just searching for “divination crossword clue” and seeing what came up. There were a bunch of websites that, like, help you solve crossword clues. I guess people get stuck on these a lot. And some listed possible answers, like one said, “Divination Crossword Clue Answer is… Answer: →43,” and another was like, “The most common solution for the crossword clue DIVINATION is AUGURY with 6 letters.” And, some others had a longer list of answers, “We found 21 answers for “Divination”,” or even, “We have 103 solutions to the crossword puzzle DIVINATION.”
I grabbed a notebook and started jotting down words related to divination. I wrote down “AUGURY,” because that seemed like a popular answer. Then I added stuff like “TAROT,” “RUNES,” “SEER,” “ORACLE,” you know, the basics.
Making the Grid
Next up, I had to actually make the crossword grid. I just did this by hand on some graph paper. It took a few tries to get a layout I liked. I tried to fit in as many of my divination words as possible, making sure they all, you know, crossed over each other properly. It was kind of tricky, not gonna lie.
Writing the Clues
This was the fun part, but also kind of hard. I wanted the clues to be a little bit challenging, but not, like, impossible. For example, for “TAROT,” I wrote something like, “Cards used to tell the future.” For “RUNES,” I went with, “Ancient symbols used for divination.” I tried to make them a little bit mysterious, but still gettable, I don’t know, I just wanted to make it fun for myself.
Testing it Out
- I gave the puzzle to my roommate to try out.
- She got most of them, but got stuck on a few.
- That was helpful, though, because it showed me which clues were too hard or too easy.
- I ended up tweaking a few of them based on her feedback.
Overall, it was a pretty fun little project, and I spent my whole afternoon working on this. It’s not perfect, but I’m happy with how it turned out. Maybe I’ll make more of these in the future, who knows. It’s just a cool way to combine two things I enjoy. And it was fun to share with you guys, hope you enjoy my little crossword puzzle adventure!
