Hey there, let’s go on a dragon-hunting adventure with Lu XiaoBu! This year is the "lucky year" for the city of Lu County, known as the City of Dragons. And guess what? Today, two stunning dragon-shaped pedestrian overpasses have been unveiled in Lu County—Garden Road Overpass and Daduwei Overpass. They’ve become a hot spot for locals to "check in" and snap photos.
No need to beat around the bush, let’s take a peek at what these two overpasses look like. ↓
01 High aesthetics, attracting everyone to check in
Today, the pristine white dragon-shaped overpasses have drawn quite the crowd, with people walking up the stairs, stopping to admire the cityscape, and checking out the patterns and designs on the bridge. What was once a quiet overpass is now buzzing with life.
"I came up here as soon as the overpass opened to the public. It’s much safer to cross the road now. Plus, I got to enjoy the view of Garden Road. The city has really transformed and looks more beautiful than ever. Kudos to the new overpass!" says Liu Xiao, a local resident, who gave the overpass a thumbs-up.
Garden Road Overpass
Garden Road Overpass is located at a major intersection and features a "lighting project" with LED strips wrapping around the main lines of the overpass. These lights will be turned on before the Chinese New Year, allowing locals to come and enjoy the illuminations, overlook the city’s glow, and soak in the festive atmosphere.
02 Versatile, safe, and convenient for both walking and sightseeing
To ensure that more locals know that the overpasses are open, the Comprehensive Administrative Enforcement Bureau of Lu County and the Yucan Sub-district Office coordinated with (civil guides) to guide people in their travel.
During the design of the overpasses, the convenience of the public was taken into consideration, optimizing the design to include barrier-free elevators. "Now, the Garden Road Overpass has four elevators located at each corner, and the Daduwei Overpass has two elevators at both ends," says Zheng Qiang, the head of the Urban and Municipal Management Section of the Comprehensive Administrative Enforcement Bureau of Lu County.
The Garden Road Overpass is set in an "H" shape, using dragon culture as its design language, integrating curved bridge bodies, and dragon scale geometric elements. With the LED strips being installed, it has become the best viewing platform for locals to overlook the street.
Daduwei Overpass
After the two overpasses were put into use, they effectively ensured the safety of pedestrians crossing the street and motor vehicles, offering both "efficacy" and "charisma."
Come and hunt for dragons, let’s check in at these two high-aesthetic overpasses together!
