Well, howdy there! Let’s jaw about them horoscopes, the ones that old Eugenia Last writes. I don’t rightly know who she is, but folks say she knows a thing or two about the stars and what they mean for us plain folk.
Now, Eugenia, she says stuff like “stay on track” and “keep your plans a secret.” Sounds like good sense to me. You know, like when you’re plannin’ on bakin’ a pie, you don’t go tellin’ the whole neighborhood ’til it’s ready, right? Same thing, I reckon. Keep your mouth shut until you got somethin’ to show for it. That’s what I always say.
And she talks about “trustin’ your instincts.” Well, I ain’t got no fancy education, but I know a thing or two about gut feelings. Like when the cow’s lookin’ a bit peaked, you just know somethin’ ain’t right. Or when the weather’s brewin’ up a storm, you can feel it in your bones. It’s the same with people, I guess. You gotta listen to that little voice inside.
Eugenia, she goes on about “followin’ your heart.” That’s a tough one, ain’t it? Sometimes your heart wants one thing, and your head wants another. Like when your heart wants that extra slice of cake, but your head knows you’ll get a bellyache. But I guess she means followin’ what makes you happy, deep down. And that’s not a bad piece of advice.
She gives horoscopes for all them signs, like Leo and whatnot. I don’t pay too much mind to all that, but it’s fun to read sometimes. Seein’ what the stars got in store for ya. Like she might say for a Leo to “take a fresh” somethin’ or other. I ain’t sure what that means, but maybe it’s like startin’ anew. Washin’ the slate clean, like when you scrub the kitchen floor real good.
- Sometimes she gives ya numbers too. Says they’re lucky or somethin’.
- Like 3 and 12 and a whole bunch of others. I don’t play the lottery, but maybe I should start.
- Heck, if them stars can tell ya what to do, maybe they can tell ya how to win some cash too.
And she talks about “expansion” and “gainin’ perspective.” Big words, them. But I think I get it. Like when you climb up on the roof to fix a shingle, you can see the whole farm. You get a different view of things. Maybe that’s what she means. Open your mind, see things from a new angle.
Some days, Eugenia says to “stick close to home” and “make domestic changes.” That sounds like a good day to clean out the attic or somethin’. Or maybe plant some flowers in the garden. Nothin’ fancy, just makin’ your home a little bit nicer.
She also talks about celebrities and their birthdays. I don’t know half these folks, but it’s always interestin’ to hear a bit of gossip. I guess even them fancy city folk need a bit of star guidance too, huh? Maybe Eugenia tells them if they’re going to get another big movie role or somethin’.
Now, I don’t know if all this horoscope stuff is true. But it don’t hurt to listen, right? And sometimes it’s just plain fun to read. Makes you think a little bit, even if you don’t quite understand it all. It’s like readin’ the Farmer’s Almanac, only with more stars and less about the weather, though Eugenia does seem to think some days are better for stayin’ indoors. It’s all just a bit of fun, and who knows, maybe them stars got somethin’ to say after all.
Anyways, that’s my take on Eugenia Last’s horoscopes. Just a bunch of words, some folks say, but maybe there’s a little bit of truth in there somewhere. Just gotta keep an open mind, and maybe, just maybe, them stars will guide ya right. At the very least, it gives you something to ponder on while you’re waitin’ for the kettle to boil.
