Well, howdy there! Let’s talk about them horoscopes, you know, the ones in that Chicago Tribune. Folks always wanna know what the stars got to say, and I reckon it ain’t hurtin’ nobody to take a peek.
Now, this here Nancy Black lady, she took over from Linda, bless her heart. She’s the one tellin’ us about the horoscopes for today. She says you can make your own luck, and I say, ain’t that the truth! You gotta get up and do somethin’ if you want somethin’ done. Stars can’t do all the work, you know.
They got all them signs, like Aries and Taurus and such. I can’t keep track of ‘em all, but they say each one means somethin’ different. Like, one day might be good for love, another for work, another for, well, just stayin’ in bed! Heard tell one time that you might be “jumping to conclusions” one day. Now, I ain’t sure what that means exactly, but it sounds like you might be thinkin’ too fast. Gotta slow down sometimes, take a deep breath, and maybe have a cup of coffee.
- Love: Some days the stars say it’s good for lovin’. Well, I say, every day is good for lovin’ if you got the right person. But I guess some days might be easier than others, huh? Nancy says to “give in to love” this year. Sounds like good advice to me, long as you ain’t givin’ in to no good troublemakers.
- Work: Other days they talk about work. Gotta make a livin’, that’s for sure. They say some days are good for “taking strides” in your personal life, which I guess means gettin’ things done. And some days are for “career and personal goals.” Sounds fancy, but I reckon it just means work hard and try to get ahead.
- Surprises: And then there’s them surprises. Nancy says you might get a “surprising message” and be tempted to “act rashly.” Now, I’ve seen my share of rash decisions, and let me tell you, they ain’t always pretty. Best to think things through before you go jumpin’ off a cliff, metaphorically speakin’, of course.
This Chicago Tribune horoscopes for today thing, it ain’t just for one day, you know. They got ‘em for weeks ahead and weeks back. I don’t know why you’d need to look at last week’s horoscope, but I guess some folks like to see if it came true. Me, I just try to take it one day at a time. No point in worryin’ about what happened last week or what might happen next week. Gotta focus on what’s happening right now, like makin’ sure the chickens got fed and the garden ain’t got no weeds.
They also talk about birthdays. Like if it’s your birthday, they got a special somethin’ to say. They say to “grow upon strong foundations maintained by steady communication.” Now, that just sounds like good sense to me. You gotta have a good foundation, like a good family or good friends, and you gotta talk to ‘em. Can’t keep everything bottled up inside.
Now, some folks say it’s all a bunch of hooey, this astrology stuff. And maybe it is, I don’t know. But I figure it don’t hurt to read it and think about it. Maybe it’ll give you a little somethin’ to think about, maybe it’ll help you make a decision, or maybe it’ll just make you smile. And that’s worth somethin’, ain’t it?
Nancy Black, she’s been doin’ this for a while now, carryin’ on Linda’s work. She’s tryin’ to give us “reliable, accurate astrology.” And I appreciate that. It ain’t easy tryin’ to figure out what them stars are sayin’. But she does her best, and that’s all anyone can ask for. She gives daily horoscopes, and it’s something some folks really look forward to. They’re looking for “reassurance” or maybe some “coaching” to help them get through the day. And sometimes, that’s all you need.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a little guidance, or just a little somethin’ to read with your mornin’ coffee, go ahead and check out them horoscopes. Maybe the stars got somethin’ to tell ya. And if they don’t, well, at least you got a good laugh out of it, right?
