Okay, so I’ve been seeing these constellation necklaces everywhere and, I gotta admit, I was totally drawn in. I’m an Aquarius, and I thought it would be cool to have a little something representing my sign. So, I decided to make my own!
First, I gathered my materials. I already had some basic jewelry-making stuff, like:
- Thin chain (I used silver, but gold would look awesome too)
- Jump rings
- A clasp
- Pliers (needle-nose are best)
- Wire cutters
Then came the fun part – the constellation! I decided to use these tiny, sparkly beads I found at the craft store. They’re like, super small, clear-ish beads that catch the light. I also grabbed some thin, silver wire to connect them.
Putting it all together
I looked up a picture of the Aquarius constellation online. It’s basically a bunch of zig-zags, right? Nothing too crazy. Then, I very carefully started threading the beads onto the wire, following the pattern of the constellation. It was fiddly, I’m not gonna lie! My fingers felt huge. I used the pliers to bend the wire and keep the beads in place, making little loops to secure each “star.”

Once I had the whole constellation shaped, I attached it to the chain. This was pretty straightforward – I just used the jump rings to connect the ends of the constellation wire to the chain. I made sure everything was secure, because I definitely didn’t want my hard work falling apart!
Finally, I added the clasp to the ends of the chain. Again, jump rings were my best friend here. And… that was it! My very own Aquarius constellation necklace.
Honestly, it turned out way better than I expected! It’s delicate and pretty, and I love that I made it myself. It’s a fun little project, and if you’re into this kind of thing, I totally recommend giving it a try. Even if you mess up the constellation a little, no one will probably notice. Just have fun with it!
