To save her friends from this crazy Alegria thing, she had to summon the Celestial Spirit King. But, here’s the kicker: to do that, she had to destroy Aquarius’s key. Talk about a heart-wrenching moment. And from what I read, she had to do it at Aquarius’s own request. Rough, right?
But, there’s a silver lining! Aquarius herself confirmed that her key would be reforged a year after its destruction. That means it’s out there somewhere in the world, waiting to be found. So, technically, Lucy could get it back. She just has to find it.

I also came across some discussions online, and it seems like others are just as curious about this as I am. Some folks mentioned an episode in season 9, episode 19, where they talk about Lucy and Aquarius’s past. I haven’t gotten to that part yet, but it sounds like it might have some clues about the key’s whereabouts.
So I went to find this episode, and watched. It was quite inspiring, and they were talking about their past when Lucy and Aquarius met for the first time.

Finally, I found another source says Aquarius returns her Key a few days later. It seems that I missed something! Then I went back and rewatched these episodes, and noticed some details I’d overlooked before. The key really came back to her a few days later, just like the source said. Gosh! This is so exciting!
So, does Lucy get Aquarius back? In short, Yes. And it was just a few days after she lost it. I’m so glad I took the time to dig into this. “Fairy Tail” never ceases to amaze me with its twists and turns!
