Okay, so I got this idea to make a jade beaded bracelet. I’ve always kinda liked how those jade things look, you know? Smooth, green, kinda calming. Plus, they say it’s supposed to bring you good luck, and who couldn’t use a bit more of that?
First, I went online and looked for some jade beads. I found some really nice green ones, about 8mm in size. I also grabbed some of those little gold spacer beads, the ones that are plated with 18k gold, just to add a little shine between the jade. I made sure to get enough beads and an elastic cord that would fit a wrist size of about 6.5 to 8 inches ’cause I wasn’t sure about my wrist size.
Then, I laid out all the beads on the table. Started stringing them onto the elastic cord. I put a gold spacer bead after every couple of jade beads. It was a bit tricky at first, getting the cord through those tiny holes, but I got the hang of it.
Once all the beads were on, I carefully tied a knot in the cord. I pulled it tight, real tight, to make sure it wouldn’t come undone. Then, I trimmed off the extra cord. The knot is hidden under one of the beads.
The bracelet turned out pretty good! The green jade looks really nice against the skin. When I wear it, it feels cool to the touch. I tapped it a few times, and it makes this nice, clear sound.
I don’t know if it’ll actually bring me good luck or keep away bad energy like some people say, but I like it. It’s a nice little reminder to stay calm and grounded, you know? And it’s kinda cool to wear something I made myself.
