Today, I wanted to mess around with something I hadn’t touched in a while – the story of Sodom. Yeah, that one from the Bible. I mean, I’ve read it a bunch of times, but I wanted to dig in a bit deeper, see what all the fuss was about. So I decided to focus on this phrase “la gente mala de Sodoma,” which basically means “the bad people of Sodom.”
Getting Started
First thing I did was grab my old Bible. It’s a bit dusty, but it gets the job done. I flipped to Genesis, chapter 19. That’s where the whole Sodom and Gomorrah story goes down. I started reading, trying to get a feel for the context. You know, what was going on before and after this “bad people” bit.

Then I thought, “Hey, why not check out some other versions of the Bible?” So I hopped online and looked at a few different translations. And it got me thinking about how we treat each other today. Are we any better than the people of Sodom? I don’t know, but it’s definitely something to think about.
