OK, so, I’ve been seeing these “mama” beaded bracelets everywhere lately, and I thought, “Hey, I can totally make one of those myself!” I mean, how hard could it be, right? Turns out, it’s actually pretty fun and not that difficult at all. Let me tell you all about it.
First things first, I gathered all my materials. I hit up the local craft store and grabbed some colorful beads – I went with pink, because why not? I also picked up some elastic string, letter beads to spell out “MAMA,” and a cute little heart bead to add a bit of extra love.
Once I got everything home, I laid it all out on the table. This is where the real fun began. I started by measuring the elastic string around my wrist, adding a few extra inches for tying. Better to have too much than too little, you know? Then, I secured one end with a knot. I may be added a clip to make it easier.
Next, I started stringing the beads. I decided on a pattern – a few pink beads, then a letter bead, and so on. It was kind of therapeutic, just focusing on the beads and the pattern. I made sure to spell out “MAMA” in the middle and added that sweet heart bead right across from it. Totally cute, right?
- String the beads onto the elastic cord, alternating colors and adding the letter beads to spell out “MAMA”.
- Add the heart bead opposite the “MAMA” wording.
- Once all the beads are on, tie the ends of the elastic cord together with a secure knot.
- Trim any excess elastic cord.
After I had all the beads on, I double-checked the length and then carefully tied the two ends of the elastic string together. I made sure the knot was super secure – you don’t want those beads flying everywhere! Finally, I trimmed off the extra string, and boom! My very own “mama” beaded bracelet was ready.
