Okay, so I’ve been thinking about getting a new tattoo for a while, and I finally decided on a small Sagittarius design. I’m a Sagittarius, so it feels personal, and I wanted something subtle, not a huge piece.
First, I spent hours scrolling through Pinterest and Instagram. Seriously, hours. I looked at all kinds of Sagittarius tattoos – the archer, the constellation, just the symbol… there are so many options! I saved a bunch of images that I liked, just to get a feel for the different styles.
After all that looking, I decided I wanted something really simple and minimalist. No big, elaborate designs for me. I leaned towards just the Sagittarius symbol (you know, the arrow) or maybe a tiny constellation.
Finding an artist
Next step was finding an artist. This is key, you guys. Don’t just walk into any random shop! I asked around for recommendations, checked out some local artists’ Instagram pages to see their work, and made sure their style matched what I was going for. Clean lines are super important for small tattoos, so I looked for artists who specialize in that.
I finally found an artist whose work I loved. We chatted about my idea, and she drew up a few different versions of the symbol, playing with the size and thickness of the lines. We tweaked it a bit together until it was perfect.
The tattoo Day!
On the day of the appointment, I was a little nervous, ngl! But the artist was super chill, and the shop was clean and professional, which helped me relax. We finalized the placement – I went with my wrist – and she got to work.
It didn’t take long at all, maybe 20 minutes? And honestly, it didn’t even hurt that much. It felt like a little scratch. The artist cleaned it up, wrapped it, and gave me all the aftercare instructions.
- Wash it gently with mild soap.
- Pat,Don’t rub.
- Apply a thin layer of the ointment she recommended.
- Keep it out of the sun!
It’s been a few weeks now, and it’s healing up great! I’m so happy with how it turned out. It’s exactly what I wanted – small, simple, and meaningful. If you’re thinking about getting a tattoo, definitely do your research, find an artist you trust, and don’t be afraid to ask questions!
