Well, let me tell you somethin’ about this whole Sun in Aquarius thing, and this Aquarius risin’ business. Sounds like a whole lot of hocus pocus to me, but I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout it down at the general store, and it got me thinkin’. These young’uns and their stars, I tell ya!
So, they say if you got this Aquarius Sun, you’re born sometime ‘tween January 21st and February 19th. And if you got that, you’re one of them independent types. Like a mule that don’t wanna be told what to do. You’re full of new ideas, always thinkin’ up somethin’ different. Always wanna change things, like my neighbor’s boy, always tinker with that old truck of his. Never could leave well enough alone.
Then there’s this Aquarius rising. Now that’s a whole other can of worms. They say it’s how folks see ya when they first meet ya. Like when that new fella came to town, lookin’ all different, standin’ out like a sore thumb. People always got somethin’ to say about those who different from the usual people. Some folks say those Aquarius rising folks, they got a look about ’em. Tall and skinny, maybe. Sharp faces, like they’re always thinkin’ hard on somethin’. And their eyes, oh, they say those eyes are somethin’ else. Bright and lookin’ right through ya, like they know all your secrets.

And apparently there’s some famous folks with this Aquarius Sun. Some of them young’uns on the TV, I reckon. Don’t know their names, but I seen their faces. Now, some folks say this Aquarius has a dark side, too. Yeah, even those sunshine folks got a dark side. They say they can be cold, like a winter wind. Not carin’ about other folks’ feelings. Just thinkin’ about themselves and what they want. Like that old Mr. Johnson down the road, always schemin’ to get ahead, never mind who he steps on.
And I heard ’em say somethin’ ’bout a “rare” risin’ sign. Said Aquarius and somethin’ called “Pisces” are rare. Don’t know what that means, exactly. Maybe it means they’re special, like a four-leaf clover. Or maybe it just means they’re different, and folks like to make a fuss about things that are different.

This whole Sun in Aquarius, Aquarius rising, it’s all a bit much for me. I reckon folks are gonna be who they’re gonna be, no matter what the stars say. But I guess it’s somethin’ to talk about. Gives folks somethin’ to think about, somethin’ to wonder about. And maybe that ain’t such a bad thing, after all. We all need somethin’ to keep us guessin’, somethin’ to keep us lookin’ up at the sky and wonderin’ what it all means.

And I reckon there’s somethin’ to that. We all got our own way of doin’ things, our own way of seein’ the world. And maybe that’s what makes us special. Maybe that’s what makes us who we are. And that is somethin’ even us old folks can understand. All those young clebs tryin’ to be different, not like the rest of the crowd. I guess we all got a little bit of that Aquarius in us, whether we know it or not.
I remember back in my day, we didn’t have all this talk about stars and signs. We just lived our lives, day by day. But I guess times change. People change. And maybe that’s okay. Maybe it’s good to have new ideas, new ways of lookin’ at things. Maybe it’s good to be a little bit different, a little bit unique. Just like those Aquarius folks, standin’ out from the crowd, makin’ their own way in the world.
