Meeting a kindred spirit is like finding a missing puzzle piece that fits perfectly into your life. Have you ever stopped to ponder the kind of person you need in your life?
Do you crave the novelty of a complementary partner who brings a whole new perspective? How about the comfort of a soulmate who resonates with your essence? Or perhaps you’re drawn to someone who inspires you to strive for more, pushing you to evolve and transform?
I’ve heard countless people say, "I’m just going with the flow in my love life. I don’t have high expectations; I just want to find someone who understands me."
But think about it—so many people have come and gone, acknowledging your presence, but how many truly understand you? Very few, if any.
It’s like walking a thousand miles, meeting scores of people, befriending a handful, and settling for a single drop of wisdom.
Understanding is a seemingly simple demand, yet it’s incredibly stringent. For someone to understand you, you must also understand them.
This kind of merged love is the essence of what a Aquarius seeks. In a relationship, they’re willing to bare their true selves, with no need for masks or pretenses, because they trust that you ‘get’ them.
They’ll reveal their deepest vulnerabilities before the relationship even begins, as long as they sense that you’re the one person in the world who’s truly unique.
They might even rush towards you without having met you, with a shared song or movie becoming the unbreakable start of your journey together.
I’ve never seen a Aquarius with cold feet when it comes to love. Not once.
This isn’t about being scared to walk home alone in the rain at night, or being unable to sleep in an empty room, or feeling lost after a night of drinking.
Their bravery is distinctive. Whether they’re alone or you leave them, it’s just a side effect of losing love. But before that loss, they always yearn for love.
I often wonder what it takes for a Aquarius to truly tone down their sharp edges and strong front in a relationship.
Is it trust? Habit? Anticipation?
Maybe it’s courage, the kind of courage that comes from wanting to merge and be together.
After all, Aquarians are independent and capable of facing difficulties alone, but the courage to merge requires someone else’s input. And when that person shows up, the courage naturally follows.
Everyone has probably thought, "I’m perfectly happy on my own, so why do I need someone else?"
Aquarians ponder this a lot, and when that special someone arrives, they’ll laugh and sigh, "Wow, it’s really nice."
Why? Because of love.
Aquarius’s love brain is always there, but it’s also never there. It’s not just in them or in you; it’s in the space between you two, in that merged state.
This is why, once in a committed relationship, Aquarians find it hard to be independent.
Merging can lead them to grow by giving themselves to another, or it can lead them to become dependent on their partner for everything.
For Aquarius, not loving is their greatest tool against the chaos of the world. But once they love, they lose that tool and no longer want to fight the world.
They go from being independent around others to being clingy with their loved one. From being the ‘wise one’ to the ‘naive one’ in the eyes of their partner. From being ‘worldly wise’ to ‘playing up’ with their loved one.
This isn’t a sign of them losing interest. It’s Aquarius finding a new world, a world that includes you and them, merged into one.
In this world, you share a scoop of water together.
Let’s have a drink together, wine will do too.
