Okay, so I’ve been on this whole spiritual journey thing lately, you know, trying to figure out my place in the universe and all that jazz. And I stumbled upon this concept of “spirit animals.” Sounds kinda out there, but I was curious. So, I decided to dig into what my spirit animal might be, based on my zodiac sign, which is Pisces.
First, I hit up Google. I just typed in “Pisces spirit animal” and started reading. I ended up in a rabbit hole. I found different websites with different lists of animals. Some said dolphin, some said deer, and some even said chameleon. It was confusing! I did not get what I want, but I realized that each of the result emphasized different traits of Pisces, like being intuitive, compassionate, and adaptable.
Next, I decided to do some introspection. I sat down, closed my eyes, and thought about my own personality. I considered the qualities I identify with most. I am a good listener? Do I easily understand other people? Also, I started to think about which animals I’ve always felt drawn to. I’ve always loved the ocean and felt a connection to marine life, you know? Especially to fish and dolphins. The animals in the ocean always make me feel calm and peaceful.
Then, I went back online and looked up the symbolism of each animal mentioned. What does the fish represent? What is the spiritual meaning of the deer? I read about how dolphins are seen as symbols of harmony and protection, which resonated with me. But then the deer represents gentleness, and the chameleon is all about change, and I was like, “Yeah, that’s me too!” I think this is too complicated for me.
After all that, I still couldn’t narrow it down to just one animal! So, I asked a few friends who know me well. I explained to them what I was doing and they gave me their opinions. My best friend, Sarah, immediately said, “Definitely a fish! You’re so go-with-the-flow and always swimming through life’s currents.” That made me laugh, but it also made sense.
My Conclusion
Honestly, I think the whole “spirit animal” thing is more about the journey of self-discovery than finding one definitive answer. I learned a lot about myself through this little experiment. I’m definitely connected to the qualities of a fish—intuitive, sensitive, and adaptable. But I also see parts of myself in other animals. So, maybe your spirit animal can change, or maybe you have more than one. Who knows? It is interesting to consider it, anyway.
What about you guys? Have you ever looked into your spirit animal? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
