Here’s what I know: 55 of them Fortune 500 companies, with billions in profits, didn’t pay any federal taxes last year. That includes big ones like FedEx and T-Mobile. These are companies that made money hand over fist, but still somehow, managed to avoid paying their taxes. How they do it, you ask? Well, it ain’t all that clear. But they sure got some clever accountants workin’ for ’em.
Back in the day, we didn’t think too much about taxes. We paid ‘em, simple as that. But now, it seems like them big companies got ways to keep all that money for themselves.
